Spring-Ski-Days

What a weekend! Sunshine and perfect conditions on the slopes! Both days we took the first gondola up to the mountains. Elias could train on the jumps and I took some pictures of him or went skiing by myself. Early in the morning the slope was perfect and almost empty! Love these warm spring-ski-days! In Laax we met up with Paul Ripke, who took some nice shoots of Elias. He's a great photographer! Even I got the chance to stand in front of his camera, which was for me very exciting, as I knew how fantastic pictures he's taking.

Was für ein Wochenende! Sonnenschein und perfekte Pisten! Beide Tage sind wir mit der ersten Gondel auf den Berg gefahren. Während Elias trainierte, habe ich ihn fotografiert oder ging Skifahren. So früh am Morgen war die Piste unglaublich schön und vorallem hatte es kaum Leute. Ich liebe diese warmen Frühlings-Skitage! In Laax hatten wir uns mit Paul Ripke verabredet. Er ist ein unglaublich guter Fotograf und hat tolle Aufnahmen vom Elias gemacht. Sogar ich habe die Chance bekommen vor seiner Linse zu stehen.

La Clusaz - France

Had a few great days in La Clusaz, where Elias had a competition. The pictures below I have taken in the good weather, but actually it was raining almost the hole time!

Ich habe Elias nach La Clusaz begleitet, wo er einen Wettkampf hatte. Die Bilder hab ich alle bei schönem Wetter aufgenommen, aber eigentlich hat es fast die ganze Zeit nur geregnet, leider.

Barbados

On this cold and bad weather days, I really miss the beach, the sun and the hot temperaturs. Still need to show you some pics from Barbados from last Mai. This place is amazing! I have been to Hawaii but I think Barbados is even more beautiful and the people there are so nice. We had actually one of the best weeks ever! This iland I can highly recommend!

An diesen kalten, schlechtwetter Tagen vermisse ich den Strand, die Sonne und die heissen Temperaturen. Ich habe euch die Bilder von Barbados vom letzten Mai noch gar nicht gezeigt. Dieser Ort ist echt unglaublich schön! Ich war zuvor bereits in Hawaii aber ich denke Barbados ist noch viel schöner und die Menschen dort sind total freundlich. Das war echt eine der besten Wochen! Diese Insel kann ich echt nur weiterempfehlen!

what's going on these days?

Actually a lot is going on right now! Elias is traveling so much! From one competition to the next, almost no rest between. I'm working during the week and when ever I can I follow him to these events.
This week he has been to France again, and again he ended up on 1st position, wuhuuuu! So happy to see him skiing that well!
I have been working and next to that I had a great photoshooting yesterday. As the sun right now in the wintertime is shining super flat, I asked my friend Ingo, if I would like to take some pictures in this amazing evening light. Haven't seen the photos right now, just a little sneak peak, which you can see below. Guess that's gonna be good shoots.
Next up is the Elias Ambühl Freeski Camp in Arosa, which is gonna be this weekend. I'll be there, not for teaching, but to help out with everything. :)

Ehrlich gesagt ist zur Zeit ziemlich viel los! Elias reist total viel von einem Wettkampf zum nächsten. Da bleibt überhaupt keine Zeit sich auszuruhen. Während der Woche bin ich immer bei der Arbeit und wenn immer ich kann begleite ich ihn zu den Events.
Diese Woche war er wieder in Frankreich und hat wieder gewonnen, wuhuuuu! Ich bin total glücklich ihn so gut fahren zu sehen!
Ich war diese Woche im Büro und nebenbei hatte ich gestern ein tolles Fotoshooting. Weil die Sonne jetzt in der Winterzeit so flach scheint, hab ich meinen Freund Ingo gefragt, ob er Lust hat einige Bilder in diesem schönen Licht zu machen. Habe die Bilder bis jetzt noch nicht gesehen, nur ein kleiner Vorgeschmack, denn ihr unten sehen könnt. Das werden bestimmt hammer tolle Aufnahmen.
Das nächste was ansteht ist das Elias Ambühl Freeski Camp in Arosa, welches dieses Wochenende stattfindet. Ich werde dort sein, zwar nicht zum unterrichten, aber zur Unterstützung. :)

Red Bull Playstreets - Bad Gastein

We spent the hole weekend in the beautiful Bad Gastein in Austria. Every two years the Red Bull Playstreets is taking place in this small ski resort. The Slopestyle course is going through the village and all streets are crowded. Elias won this event four years ago, but this time it didn't went his way. Right now for him it is a really tough time! Last week he went to Val d'Isère where he won the Big Air competition called Frostgun. Right after the ceremony he jumped in the car and drove back home where he arrived at 5 o'clock in the morning. We got up at 8 o'clock and drove for another six hours to Bad Gastein. I can imagine if his body is feeling the traveling and all these comps. The day after the Playstreets he had to drive back to France, to Vars, which took again around 12 hours of drive.

Even Elias didn't made it to finals at the Red Bull Playstreets, we had a great weekend in Bad Gastein with all our friends and family. We could even enjoy the Valentines Day for a little bit :)

Das vergangene Wochenende haben wir im wunderschönen Bad Gastein im Österreich verbracht. Alle zwei Jahre findet dort das Red Bull Playstreets statt. Der Slopestyle Kurs führt mitten durch das kleine Dörfchen und alle Gässchen sind mit Zuschauern überfüllt. Vor vier Jahren hatte Elias diesen Wettkampf gewonnen, aber dieses mal ist es leider nicht wie erhofft verlaufen. Momentan hat er eine ziemlich stressige Zeit. Letzte Woche ist er nach Val d'Isère, Frankreich gefahren und hat dort den Big Air Wettkampf, Frostgun, gewonnen. Direkt nach der Siegerehrung setzte er sich ins Auto und war um 5 Uhr morgens zuhause. Um 8 Uhr mussten wir gleich wieder 6 Stunden nach Bad Gastein fahren. Ich kann mir gut vorstellen, dass sein Körper durch die Reisen und die Wettkämpfe etwas müde wird. Am Tag nach dem Playstreets ist er dann wieder ca. 12 Stunden zurück nach Frankreich, nach Vars gefahren.

Auch wenn es Elias beim Red Bull Playstreets nicht ins Finale geschafft hat, hatten wir trotzdem ein tolles Wochenende und wir konnten sogar noch den Valentinstag etwas geniessen.

new project

I'm planing to move to a bigger apartment around april. The last ten month I was living in a tiny little one room apartment and in a few month I'm going to move to a two room apartment. It is just a little bigger than the other one, but at least I will have a separate bedroom. The apartment is still not big and pretty old but I'm really excited to move in there. I don't need a big and modern place, I feel very comfortable in this apartment, where is everything made of wood. As the new apartment is a old one too, I have to change different things and fresh it up a little bit. That's the reason why I now need some inspirations about the floors, decoration, furniture and everything.

Im April werde ich in eine etwas grössere Wohnung umziehen. Die letzten zehn Monate habe ich in einer kleinen Einzimmerwohnung gewohnt und in einigen Monaten werde ich in eine Zweizimmerwohnung umziehen. Diese wird nur etwas grösser sein, aber hauptsächlich hat es ein separates Schlafzimmer. Die Wohnung ist zwar klein und auch alt, aber ich freue mich jetzt schon riesig darauf. Ich brauch kein grosses, modernes Zuhause, in dieser alten Wohnung aus Holz fühle ich mich total wohl. Wenn ich einziehe müssen einige Sachen erneuert und aufgefrischt werden, deshalb brauch ich jetzt einige Inspirationen für Bodenbeläge, Dekoration, Möbel und so weiter.
